I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I just feel the need to be ho’okahi wale nō (pronunciation: ho-oh-kah-hee vah-leh noh) or alone. As a painful introvert, spending time ho’okahi wale nō is my way to recharge my batteries to be able to deal with what the universe decides to throw at me.

As many people spend this Memorial Day preparing for a barbecues or enjoying the day off, we give ho’omana’o (pronounced ho-oh-mah-nah-oh) or a remembrance to those who served our country and paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
