About the Makers
LOERO FAMILY, OWNERS
Sustainably grown, expertly sourced and artisan Roasted. Kauai Roastery specializes in 100% Hawaiian Grown Coffee and sources only quality coffee beans from farms both local and global that meet sustainable agronomic practices. All coffees are roasted to order in small batches. Their traditional micro roasting style captures the peak of flavor characteristics, individual subtleties and full aromatic pleasures unique to each variety and origin of specialty coffee they carry. Kauai Roastery is a family owned and operated business located in the town of Waimea, on the sunny west side of Kauai. The Loero family has been involved in the coffee industry for three generations.
JES AND JEN, OWNERS
Jes and Jen are sisters who were born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii. They specialize in designing the annie + flo notecard line, stationery, invitations, announcements and more! You will find that their Japanese heritage and Hawaii upbringing has a huge impact on their design aesthetic. They continue to be inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us, the uniqueness of the people and cultures of Hawaii, and the importance of family and friends.
PATRICIA ARANAS, OWNER
Patricia, a native of Hawaii, is the owner of Island Memories SF. She started the business in 2014 with the encouragement of her family. Island Memories SF specializes in hand poured, small batch 100% soy candles using phthalate free fragrance oils and a cotton wick. Island Memories also make diffusers, sachets, hand sanitizer, roll on scents and room and linen sprays.
LEANNE OHTA AND ANA MAGARIN, OWNERS
Leanne Ohta and Ana Magarin were both raised on Maui and continue to raise their families there. They are fun, dedicated mommies, but ironically are dental professionals who love to bake. Leanne and Ana went to college together and have been best friends for over 25 years. Now they create a variety of crispy, melt-in-your mouth, bite size cookies. Their year round selections include: Signature Chocoholic Chip Cookie, Cookie Lava and Passion 8 Bliss. All are hand scooped and baked fresh. They are great for snacking, gifting for all occasions, holidays and omiyage. Their mission is, “Sharing the CRAVE one sweet tooth at a time.”
LIANA HEE, DESIGNER + ILLUSTRATOR
Liana Hee is an independent designer based out of Los Angeles, California. She majored in animation and honed her craft working as a freelance artist for companies such as Disney, Amazon, and most recently worked as a designer for the tv show, “Shimmer and Shine” at Nickelodeon Animation Studio. You’ll find her at Trader Santa’s @TikilandTrading Co. on December 1, 2019.
Liana created Teeny Wahine because she admires the charm and simplicity of vintage design, which inspires much of her artwork. She loves Hawaii very much and Maui is her favorite island to visit. Liana has a lot of family who call Hawaii their home, including her amazing Grand Uncle, Hon Chew Hee who was a fine artist and painted murals for libraries, schools and the Honolulu International airport.
